Neutrale Farben machen es möglich!

Leder und Leo im Büro? Geht das?
Wenn man im Büro tragen kann, was man will, keine Kleidervorschrift und keinen Kundenkontakt hat, stellt sich diese Frage natürlich nicht. Dann kommt es nur darauf an, was man selbst gerne trägt und wie man sich wohlfühlt. Natürlich gilt das auch, wenn man zuhause arbeitet - was aber nicht heißt, dass dann Jogginghosen die vorgeschriebene Arbeitskleidung sein muss ;-)

Bei mir ist das anders - zu lässig ist nicht angemessen, wenn ich wichtige Besucher empfange oder Meetings habe. Andererseits ist das Büro keine Partyzone oder Catwalk: Ich arbeite fast ausschließlich mit Männern, noch dazu unterschiedlichster Nationalitäten und Kulturen zusammen und wenn ich mal durch die Caféteria gehe, möchte ich zumindest nicht mit einem zu tiefen Ausschnitt, zu kurzem Rock oder halbtransparenter Bluse auffallen! Der entscheidende Grund ist aber, dass ich mich darin nicht wohlfühlen würde.

Klar trage ich gerne Leder, Leomuster oder enge Röcke - auch im Büro. aber dann muss die Kombination stimmen:

1. Reduzierung bei Farben

Beige und Schwarz

2. Klassische Schnitte

Schmaler, knielanger Rock, Wickeltop, umspielende Jacke

3. Elegante Accessoires

Ledertasche im Kelly Stil, goldener Schmuck, schwarze Pumps

Ich habe Euch einige Alternativen zusammengestellt, mit denen mein Look nachgestylt werden kann.
Bei Zara ist mein Rock nicht mehr erhältlich, aber wie schon oft, habe ich exakt diesen Rock bei einem Onlinehändler gefunden und zwar wesentlich günstiger im Sale hier via Romwe.
Übrigens bedeutet das nicht, dass man keinen roten Lederrock im Büro anziehen darf! Es kommt immer auf den Einzelfall an und ich könnte ihn mir z.B. gut mit einem schlichten, schwarzen Pulli, einer blickdichten, schwarzen Strumpfhose und Pumps vorstellen.

If there is no dress code to follow at your company and you don't have customer contact you might be allowed to wear what you want... same of course if you work from home. That doesn't necessarily implicate jogging trousers in your homeoffice on a daily basis though ;-)

It is different for me. A too casual look is not appropriate when I am dealing with important visitors or I am in meetings. Then again, an office is not a party location or a catwalk. Almost entirely I work with and I am surrounded by men of various nationalites and cultures. When I occasionally walk through our cafeteria I don't want to be noticed because of a too short skirt, big cleavage or sheer blouse! The main reason of course is I personally wouldn't feel comfortable in it anyway.

Often I am wearing leather, animal prints or pencil skirts at work too - but then the right styling and combination is essential. BTW, my faux leather skirt is sold out at Zara but again (happened several times before!) you can get the exact same product cheaper via other online shops, in this case here via Romwe.

Of course that doesn't mean you cannot wear a red leather skirt to the office! It really depends on your individual work environment and for example a styling with a simple black jumper, opaque tights and black pumps might be a great option for you.

WILDLEDER TRENCHCOAT

Topaktuell und gleichzeitig ein Begleiter für mehr als eine Saison

Wildleder war letztes Jahr schon ein großer Trend und ist in den neuen Frühjahrskollektionen stärker denn je vertreten. Habe ich also ein reines Trendteil gekauft? Nein, sicher nicht, denn Trends schaue ich mir grundsätzlich erst einmal eine Weile an, bevor ich entscheide, ob sie zu mir passen. Derzeit interessieren mich zum Beispiel die neuen Pantonefarben 2016 Hellblau und Rosa (ok, ganz offiziell: Serenity und Rose Quartz) noch gar nicht... Ich muss da auch keine Vorreiterin sein, das überlasse ich gerne den ganz jungen Bloggerinnen, sondern ein Trend muss sich meinem persönlichen Stil anpassen und nicht andersrum!

Ich habe mir vor mehr als 10 Jahren einen Wildlederblazer bei Hallhuber gekauft (hier habe ich ihn gezeigt) und er ist nach wie vor eines meiner Lieblingsteile. Vor etwa 2 Wochen bin ich um diesen camelfarbenen Wildledermantel bei Esprit geschlichen ;-) Letzte Woche war ich dann nochmal dort und "leider" war er noch in meiner Größe vorrätig und ich konnte nicht widerstehen! Toll stelle ich ihn mir in der wärmeren Jahreszeit auch mit Weiß kombiniert vor - dieses Styling, das ich schon im Kopf habe, zeige ich Euch dann natürlich.

Trendy yet timeless

Suede leather has been trending last year and again it is a major theme this spring - neverthess it is a timeless style. I don't call myself a trendsetter anyway (and leave that to the young bloggers) but usually take my time to get familiar with new trends every season. I only buy them when they fit my personal style - and not the other way round! I often skip a certain must-have piece when I don't have the feeling "that's me!"
I yet have to have a closer look at the new 2016 Pantone colours babyblue and pink (officially called Serenity and Rose Quartz) before I decide whether I'd wear them or not.

Around 10 years ago I bought a suede leather blazer (shown here) and it is still one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. Two weeks ago, I spotted this camel suede leather trenchcoat at the local Esprit shop and when I returned a week later, I couldn't resist! I am sure I will wear it a lot and I am already thinking of a styling paired with white trousers for warmer temperatures.

BLAUE JEANSJACKE

Ein Klassiker in meinem Kleiderschrank!

Jeder hat unverzichtbare Teile im Kleiderschrank, bei mir ist es zum Beispiel diese Jeansjacke, die ich schon ein paar Jahre habe und Euch schon mehrfach gezeigt habe. Sie unterliegt keinem modischen Wandel, wird höchstens mal eine Saison zum Trendteil erklärt - oder bleibt sowieso, eigentlich ein Kultteil, oder? Eine klassische Jeansjacke sieht auch immer mehr oder weniger gleich aus, egal ob sie alt oder neu ist, von H&M oder von einem Designer (meist nur am Aufdruck auf den Metallknöpfen zu erkennen, aber der ist mir ziemlich egal!) Blau muss sie sein, ohne Schnickschnack wie Glitzer und Pailletten oder gar Spitzeneinsätzen! Persönlich mag ich dunkle am liebsten, sie darf nicht zu verwaschen sein und schon gar nicht "distroyed", denn mit diesem albernen, kaputten Trend kann ich auch bei Hosen nichts anfangen, für mich ist das nicht mal lässig.

Wochenendlook

Nun bin ich ja für eine allzu lässige Variante sowieso nicht zu haben, daher trage ich meine Jeansjacke sehr gerne, um ein Outfit aufzulockern, gerade für's Wochenende ist das ideal. Hier mit einer klassischen, schwarzen Hose und feiner Bluse, dazu meine metallic Slippers (sie werden auch diese Saison topaktuell sein!) und ich fühle mich darin richtig wohl.

Bürovariante

Im Büro ersetze ich die Jeansjacke einfach durch einen Blazer, die flachen Schuhe könnte ich sogar beibehalten oder Pumps tragen, wenn etwas offizielles oder ein Meeting ansteht.

An essential piece in my wardrobe

I am sure you have got some essential pieces in your wardrobe like a blue denim jacket. The design and style almost never changed and it's hardly noticeable if it is old or new, a budget-friendly H&M version or an expensive designer piece. Usually the imprint on the metall buttons will tell but I don't care! A classic denim jacket will never go out of style, it may be a reoccuring trend every couple of years but actually it never disappeared. Blue is a must and I personally prefer a darker wash with no frills, no glitter, sequins or embroidery. And I will definitely skip the "destroyed" jeans trend, can't get that at all!

Weekend Look

As you most probably know, I am not a fan of too casual looks and therefore I love my denim jacket to dress down a more formal look like these black suit trousers and my silky blouse. It is a perfect outfit for the weekend. My metallic slippers are comfortable for running around doing errands but still add a bit of glam. They will be a major trend this season and I have put together a selection for you.

Office Version

For work I just change the denim jacket for a blazer. I can even keep the shoes unless I have an official meeting and then replace them with pumps.

Noch ein Klassiker in meinem Kleiderschrank!

Irgendetwas mit Leder, Wildleder oder Lederoptik war in den meisten meiner letzten Looks vertreten. Es gibt so viele verschiedene Varianten zu diesem Thema und wie ich schon so oft gesagt und gezeigt habe, mag ich gerne einen Stilmix. Ich sage nicht Stilbruch, denn das hört sich so an, als ob es nicht zusammenpassen würde. Das wäre dann gar nicht meins, schließlich bin ich Waage, eine Unausgewogenheit liegt mir gar nicht, damit kann ich nicht umgehen! Stattdessen stelle ich stimmige Outfits aus unterschiedlichen Stilrichtungen zusammen, die dann mit den passenden Accessoires genau meinen persönlichen Stil ausmachen. Besonders gern mag ich dabei eine Kombination aus elegant/feminin und cool/trendy.

Meine Lederjacke aus der Kollektion THOM für QVC von Thomas Rath habe ich Euch schon gezeigt - erstmals beim Stylingevent mit Thomas hier und dann mit meinen persönlichen Looks hier und hier. Was ich an der Jacke neben der wunderbaren, butterweichen Qualität so liebe, ist die etwas softere Version, es ist halt keine typische coole Bikerjacke mit schrägem Reissverschluss und Kragen.

Klassische Lederpumps

Kombiniert habe ich sie mit einer khakifarbenen, schmalen Hose, weißer Bluse und schwarzen Pumps. Jetzt kommt hoffentlich bald die Zeit, in der ich meine Stiefel und Stiefeletten ganz in den Schuhschrank stellen und stattdessen wieder leichtere Schuhe tragen kann. Ich bin noch nicht darauf vorbereitet und gerade auf der Suche nach klassischen schwarzen Lederpumps, die einen Absatz haben sollen, der aber nicht zu dünn sein darf, auf keinen Fall schräg und die vorne nicht zu weit ausgeschnitten sind. Das kann ich mit meinen kräftigen Ballen nämlich nicht tragen. Und Bequemlichkeit geht bei Schuhen vor! Ach ja, nicht zu spitz und nicht zu rund... Ihr seht, ich habe sehr genaue Vorstellungen.
Einige habe ich schon in die nähere Auswahl gezogen, besonders dieses Modell von Gabor. Besonders gute Erfahrung habe ich in der Vergangenheit schon mit Clarks gemacht. Und super finde ich das Weitensystem von Naturalizer, das müßte was für mich sein!

In almost every recent post I featured a leather, suede or faux leather piece! They are so versatile and the variety of different stylings is incredible. As I have mentioned and shown many times, I love a style mix - not an inconsistency since the final look should always result in a well balanced style in my opinion. I wouldn't feel comfortable otherwise (I am libra!) Accessories help me to create my own, personal style. If you have followed my blog for a while you know that my favourite mix consists of feminine - elegant pieces with a cool or trendy touch.

Leatherjacket by German designer Thomas Rath

Previously I have shown you this leather jacket from German designer Thomas Rath for QVC. The first time when I was invited for a restyling event which was then published in QVC's customer magazine, afterwards in my own combinations here and here. Besides the super soft quality, I also love the collarless and tailored cut which makes it a more elegant version and not the typical rockstar biker jacket.

Classic black leather pumps

I paired it with slim olive trousers, a white cotton shirt and black pumps. Currently all our snow is completely gone (we didn't have much at all!) and hopefully soon winter will disappear and I can wear light shoes only. Actually I am not yet well prepared for spring and need to replace these pumps by a new pair. I am looking for classic shoes with a not too high heel, not too pointed and not too round. Now I pay much more attention to comfort than I did when I was younger. At the office I wear them all day long and a proper fit is essential. I have already identified several pairs which meet these requirements and put them together in the widget above.

LIEBLINGSTEILE AUS WILDLEDER

Frühling/Sommertrend 2016

Als ich Euch diesen Wildledermantel erstmals vorgestellt hatte, schrieb ich bereits, dass ich noch keine Liebe für die Frühlingstrends in Hellblau und Rose hege. Das hat sich seither auch noch nicht geändert (übrigens ganz anders bei meiner Bloggerkollegin Stefanie von Sea of Teal, der diese Farben hervorragend stehen!) stattdessen greife ich heute lieber wieder den Wildledertrend auf und zwar gleich mehrfach: Mein Trenchcoat von Esprit, meine Stiefeletten von Mango und meine Fransentasche stehen hier im Mittelpunkt. 3 x Wildleder in 3 x Braun - und diese verschiedenen Töne kombiniere ich mit Schwarz und harmonisiere sie mit meinem Leoschal, in dem ich alle Farben wieder aufgreife. Ganz simpel also!

Zwei für mich ungewohnte Dinge gibt es in meinem heutigen Look, die ich im Nachhinein unterschiedlich beurteile:

1. Eine Kleiderlänge, die über dem Knie endet
Wohl fühle ich mich damit nicht, ich bin ständig am Zupfen... es müssen für mich auch mit Strumpfhose doch einige Zentimeter mehr sein!

2. Stiefeletten (statt kniehohe Stiefel oder Pumps) zum Kleid
Ich habe es in der Vergangenheit mehrfach vor dem Spiegel ausprobiert und war selten zufrieden obwohl es aktuell ist. Nur einmal gefiel es mir mit diesem schmalen dunkelgrünen Midikleid - das hängt aber auch stark mit meiner Figur zusammen, die ich dieses Frühjahr wieder erreichen möchte ;-)

Erst Berlin, dann London

Diesen Monat bin ich viel unterwegs: Letzte Woche war ich in Berlin zum Covershooting mit dem Lebenlang Magazin und am nächsten Morgen zur Talkrunde beim Frühstück rund um das neue Nachtpflegeprodukt von Vichy. Schon jetzt verrate ich, dass beide Events großartig waren und ich außerdem einige meiner Lieblingsbloggerinnen wiedergetroffen habe... mehr dazu demnächst.

Nächste Woche geht es nach London und von dort weiter zur Bloggerkonferenz BLOGNIX. Dort werde ich auch wunderbare UK Bloggerinnen wiedertreffen und erstmals Top Bloggerin Catherine von Not Dressed As Lamb!

FAVOURITE PIECES IN SUEDE

Major spring/summer trend 2016

When I previously showed you this suede trenchcoat I mentioned I am not craving for the major spring trend colours baby blue and light pink. This hasn't changed yet and I rather go for the suede leather trend. Actually I am doing it multiple times: My coat from Esprit, booties from Mango and my fringe bag. 3 x suede leather, 3 different shades of brown. I am adding black and my leopard scarf which brings it all together in harmony. Quite simple, isn't it?

However, with this look I am stepping out of my comfort zone twice and have mixed feelings about it:

1. Hemline ending above the knee
I am not quite comfortable with it and prefer my dresses and skirts even with opaque tights 3-4 inches longer.

2. Ankle boots with my dress (instead of kneehigh boots or pumps)
I have tried this over and over again in front of the mirror and rarely liked this combination although it is quite popular. Once I wore it on the blog and really liked it with this darkgreen mididress but most likely because I felt a lot more comfortable with my weight at that time - my goal this spring ;-)

First Berlin, then London

I am travelling a lot this month: Last week I have been to Berlin for my covershooting for the German lifestyle e-magazine Lebenlang followed by a breakfast talk about Vichy's new night beauty regime. FRÜHSTÜCKSTALK MIT LEBENLANG MAG UND VICHY

40+ Blogger über Nachtpflege bei reifer Haut

Das Lifestyle eMag LEBENLANG kannte ich bereits, schließlich gehört es zum Verlag des tollen sisterMAG, hinter dem die beiden Schwestern Theresa Neubauer und Antonia Sutter, kurz Thea und Toni stehen, denen ich schon länger folge.

Und wer kennt die hochwertige Kosmetik mit Thermalwasser von Vichy aus der Apotheke nicht? Schon als ich davon ein Foto auf Instagram postete, bekam ich nur positive Rückmeldungen. Eigentlich denke ich bei Vichy aber immer an die wunderbare Reise meiner Bloggerfreundin Susi, die darüber hier auf ihrem Blog Texterella mehrfach berichtete und schwärmte! Ich würde bei der nächsten Reise auch ganz bestimmt nicht "nein" sagen und verspreche, sogar ein Glas Thermalwasser auf ex zu trinken ;-)

Ich bin eine Beauty Minimalistin...

Beautyprodukte und ich stehen uns ja im Allgemeinen eher neutral gegenüber... wobei gerade die Anti-Ageing Produkte mich ja schon wollen würden, nur ich ziehe auch mit 53 nicht so recht. Im Gegenteil, ich bezeichne mich als Minimalistin, wenn es um Gesichtspflege geht und während manche an keinem neuen Produkt vorbeigehen können, lässt mich das völlig kalt. Bislang reinige ich abends meine Haut gründlich und dann - nichts! Ich habe normale Haut, sie spannt nicht und verlangt somit auch nicht nach Seren, Ampullen und reichhaltigen Cremes über Nacht. Pur ist mir lieber. Nur für meinen Körper sind eine reichhaltige Bodybutter oder im Sommer eine Feuchtigkeitslotion täglich unerlässlich!

Aber dann habe ich meinen Finger doch in die neue Neovadiol Nuit Nachtcreme gesteckt und fand sie angenehm leicht auf der Haut, dennoch verspricht sie tiefenwirksame, reaktivierende Pflege.

Gestern kam nun mein Paket mit allen Produkten dieser Serie an und ich werde sie ausprobieren! Ich möchte diesen Test auf ein paar Monate ansetzen und mich tatsächlich ausschließlich damit reinigen und pflegen. Somit wird mein Ergebnis absolut ehrlich ausfallen, da meine Haut ja keine anderen intensiven Pflegeprodukte kennt (bislang verwende ich abends eine milde Reinigungslotion und tagsüber eine einfache Tagescreme aus dem Drogeriemarkt über einem Hyaluronsäuregel aus der Apotheke. In letzter Zeit mische ich die Creme mit ein paar Tupfern Bebe Creme. Das ist alles.)

Gesundes Frühstück, genau nach meinem Geschmack

Allein frühstücken macht keinen Spaß, vor allem nicht bei dem leckeren, gesunden Frühstück, das uns Sarah von Alles und Anderes zubereitet hat! Dabei waren auch die 40/50+ Bloggerinnen Valérie von Life40up!, Irit von Irit Eser, Martina von Lady 50plus und Rita von Das Rote Gartenhaus.

Und um genau das Thema Nachtpflege, Schlaf und unsere persönlichen Gewohnheiten und Erfahrungen rund um das Alter 50+ ging es bei unserem Frühstückstalk, der auch gefilmt wurde und in der nächsten Ausgabe des Lebenlang Magazins in der ersten Märzwoche erscheinen wird - ich sage Euch dann Bescheid.

Covershooting

Am Vorabend gab es noch ein weiteres Highlight meines Aufenthaltes in Berlin - ein zweistündiges Covershooting für das nächste Lebenlang Magazin! Noch habe ich die Fotos nicht gesehen, aber natürlich werde ich Euch hier in Kürze mehr darüber erzählen - auch, warum ich am nächsten Tag Muskelkater hatte...

Diese Woche geht es nach London und von dort am Wochenende weiter in Richtung Birmingham zur Bloggerkonferenz BLOGNIX.

LEBENLANG is a German digital lifestyle magazine for mature readers by sisters Theresa Neubauer und Antonia Sutter, called Thea und Toni, editors of another online lifestyle magazine called sisterMAG.

I am a beauty minimalist...

When it comes to skin care and anti-ageing products, I am not too enthusiastic... I know, not only at the age of 53 you should take good care of your skin but I am lucky to have a normal skin type. It is not dry, doesn't require special treatments or rich moisturising creams nor does it react sensitive or allergic. On my body, however I do apply bodybutter or lotions on a daily basis!
After a thorough cleaning of my face at night I do not apply anything! I don't feel my skin needs it.

However, the new Neovadiol Nuit was waiting to be tested! A relaxing anti-aging night cream with Vichy's breakthrough Compensating Complex to treat 4 fundamental signs of menopause on skin: loss of density, loss of structure, sagging, and dryness. Skin feels comforted and looks rested by morning.

Yesterday I received a set of products and I will apply them daily over the next couple of months.
Currently I am using a mild cleanser in the evening and a normal day care from the local drugstore over a hyaluronic acid gel which I buy at a pharmacy. Recently I started to add a bit of a rich baby cream. That's all!
Since my skin isn't used to any other products on a regular basis I think I can promise an honest result which I will post here in 2-3 months.

Delicious and healthy breakfast

Of course there is a lot more fun having breakfast together with other ladies and I was joined by fabulous 40/50+ bloggers: Valérie of Life40up!, Irit of Irit Eser, Martina of Lady 50plus and Rita of Das Rote Gartenhaus.

During our breakfast we discussed personal experiences with night care and our sleeping habits (or problems) at the age of 50+. A video of this talk will be online in the next issue of Lebenlang magazine in the first week of March.

Covershooting

The night before, right after my arrival in Berlin I had the opportunity to do a two-hours covershooting for the next edition of the magazine! I haven't seen the photos myself yet but of course I will tell you more about this experience in due time.

London Calling

This week I will be heading to London and next weekend I will go towards Birmingham where I will attend BLOGNIX, an exciting blogger conference with fabulous UK fellow bloggers! Stay tuned...

TCHIBO HELENE FISCHER FRÜHLINGSKOLLEKTION

Grau und frühlingshaftes Pfirsich

Ich kann Euch gar nicht sagen, wie sehr ich mich auf den Frühling freue! Da ich ein 100% Sommertyp bin, lebe ich erst wieder richtig auf, wenn es warm wird! Keine klobigen Winterstiefel und morgendliches Eiskratzen mehr, keine frühe Dunkelheit und Matschwetter. Eine Winter Wonderland Postkartenidylle wie hier ist nämlich auch eher die Ausnahme!

Stattdessen ein Leben im Freien. Mit nackten Beinen in offenen Schuhen, In leichten Kleidern und schon morgens ohne Jäckchen ins Büro gehen! Am Wochenende den Tag mit einem Frühstück auf der Terrasse beginnen und abends mit einem Glas Wein in der Hand den Sternenhimmel beobachten... Genau das mache ich so oft es geht, denn das ist für mich Genuss pur, wie ein kleiner Urlaub!

Noch ist es nicht ganz so weit, aber Schritt für Schritt - und ich freue mich diese Woche in London auf die wunderschön blühenden Magnolienbäume, von denen mir meine Tochter zur Zeit regelmäßig Fotos schickt. In London habe ich derart viel in meinem Terminkalender stehen, aber ich bin sicher, es wird ganz wunderbar werden, denn tolle Events mit noch tolleren Menschen warten auf mich. Und meine Tochter - sie kommt natürlich zu allererst!

"Das hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass das von Tchibo ist!"

In der Übergangszeit trage ich statt Mänteln gerne wieder Jacken und tausche natürlich meine Stiefel gegen Pumps oder modische Slippers aus. Passend dazu kommt heute, am 23. Februar, die aktuelle Helene Fischer Frühjahrskollektion bei Tchibo in die Läden sowie in den Online Shop. Ich habe Euch schon mehrfach Mode von Tchibo in meinen persönlichen Stilkombinationen gezeigt und das schönste Kompliment ist dabei immer: "Das hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass das von Tchibo ist!"
Es muss keine Designerkleidung sein, aber Aussehen und Qualität sind wichtig. Meine braune Jacke in Velourlederoptik aus der exclusiven Herbstkollektion ist seither ein Lieblingsteil in meinem Kleiderschrank geworden!

Für meinen Übergangslook habe ich mir aus der neuen Tchibo Kollektion diese wunderbar weiche Lammlederjacke ausgesucht - ein Ton, der sich ganzjährig perfekt mit fast allen Farben kombinieren lässt. Sie ist im klassischen Bikerstil gehalten, aber da sie nicht Schwarz ist, wirkt sie etwas feiner - genau mein Stil! Ich habe sie mit einem dünnen pfirsichfarbenen Feinstrickshirt aus Baumwolle (hinten mit fließendem Georgette) und passendem Baumwollschal mit feinen Pailletten kombiniert. Damit wirkt mein Outfit zarter und ein bisschen frühlingshaft, oder?

Einen pfirsichfarbenen Feinstrickpulli in Pfirsich, sowie dieses hellblaue, oversized Shirt aus Viskose, beides in Gr. 40/42 möchte ich gerne an eine Leserin verlosen. Schreibt mir einfach bis 1.3.16 im Kommentarfeld, ob Ihr in den Lostopf möchtet!
Zum Größenvergleich: Ich trage den feinen Pulli in Gr. 36/38 und bin 1,63 groß.

Pre-spring look in grey and peach

I am so desperate for spring! It is like an awakening after hibernation for a couple of months. No more bulky winterboots and mittens, no more ice scraping early morning before work and no more darkness from 4 o'clock in the afternoon! I know, a lot of people love snow - I don't! And after all, there aren't that many winter wonderland postcard days!

Already I can hear some early birds chirping in the morning and for me there is nothing better than starting my weekends with a nice breakfast outside on my terrace and ending it with a drink late at night watching the stars... it's all about the simple pleasures in life, isn't it? Then I feel like I am in the Mediterranean - luckily it is only a 3-4 hours drive to Northern Italy from here and I am looking into a weekend escape soon. Spring and summer do enhance my well being a lot!

During the transitional season, I often swop my coats for jackets and at the earliest opportunity I skip boots for pumps and slip-ons. Just in time for Tchibo's latest Helene Fischer spring collection which will be available online and in the shops from 23 February. Helene Fischer is a very popular award winning singer and entertainer in Germany.
Several times I have shown you affordable looks from Tchibo, the huge German coffee brand which expanded internationally and is also known for its non-food products at an excellent value for money.
I always give my outfits a personal style and I think the best feedback which I have received plenty of times is "I can't believe this is from Tchibo!"

It doesn't have to be a designer piece but style and quality is important to me! My faux suede camel jacket from Tchibo's exclusive autumn collection became one of my favourite pieces.

For my pre-spring look I chose a super soft leatherjacket - this grey goes with almost every other colour and can be worn all year round. It is a classic moto style jacket, however, grey gives it a softer look than black. I paired it with a light peach cotton jumper and a matching scarf with silver sequins. The light colours instantly add a touch of spring, don't they?

MEINE BRITISCHEN 40+ LIEBLINGSBLOGGERINNEN

Die BLOGNIX Retreat Konferenz in Northamptonshire, England

Großbritannien, speziell England hat schon seit vielen Jahren eine besondere Bedeutung für mich. Das ist mehr als eine Vorliebe für London... Dort fühle ich mich wohl, dort würde ich gerne leben. Meine Kinder verbrachten einige Zeit auf einem englischen Internat (und sagen übereinstimmend, es sei die beste Zeit ihrer gesamten Schullaufbahn gewesen), ich hatte mehrere Jahre einen englischen Partner und wir sind permanent zwischen London und München gependelt und nicht zuletzt studiert und lebt meine Tochter in London!

Wann fühlt man sich jenseits der Heimat wirklich wohl? Für mich sind es die Menschen, die diesen Unterschied machen. Ich habe gute Freunde in England und seit ich blogge, habe ich mehrere britische Bloggerinnen virtuell kennengelernt. Einige habe ich im Oktober in London getroffen und sie jetzt wiedergesehen, andere habe ich nun endlich persönlich kennengelernt!

Die Konferenz

Die BLOGNIX Retreat Konferenz, an der ich vergangenes Wochenende teilgenommen habe, ist ein fachlicher Austausch zwischen Bloggerinnen (und 1 Blogger!) mit Vorträgen und Workshops und fand zum dritten mal statt - dieses Mal in Northamptonshire. Ich lebe ja selbst auf dem Land, aber hier ging es nach einer 1,5 stündigen Bahnfahrt von London in Richtung Birmingham von einer kleinen Bahnstation aus nochmal weiter und tiefer ins englische Hinterland - da gab es außer Hotel, Golfplatz und sehr viel grüner Landschaft tatsächlich nichts!

Wie man Pinterest richtig nutzt, wie man sich an's erste YouTube Video wagt, die Einbindung des Affiliate Programms Shopstyle und eine Mastermind Gruppe waren nur einige der interessanten Themen. Und dazu ein wirklich intensiver Austausch untereinander - der nach Ende des Programms mit einer Flasche Wein gleich noch intensiver wurde ;-)

Die 40plus Bloggerinnen

Ich war zwar die einzige aus dem Ausland angereiste Bloggerin, aber nicht die einzige über 40 - was ja bei vielen Bloggerevents der Fall ist! In der Tat waren wir eine tolle Gruppe: Unglaublich sympathische Frauen mit einer professionellen Art, wenn es um unsere Blogs geht, mit Erfahrung, Jobs, Familien und Kindern und dazu mit einer unheimlichen Offenheit und viel Spaß und Lebensfreude. Es war ein großartiges Wochenende, wir haben so viel mitgenommen und uns so gut verstanden, dass wir es kaum erwarten können, uns wiederzusehen! Und zwar nicht erst bei der nächsten BLOGNIX, sondern schon wesentlich früher...

Catherine von Not Dressed As Lamb war die erste Bloggerin, der ich jemals gefolgt bin und dadurch eine besondere Verbindung habe. Sie beschreibt in ihrem aktuellen Post die Gefühle einer Freundschaft unter Frauen und genau so empfinde ich auch.
Glücklich schätze ich mich, außerdem Michelle, Lisa, Nikki, Liz, Michelle und Lorraine zu meinen Bloggerfreundinnen zählen zu dürfen. Es war klasse, Ladies!

MEETING MY FAVOURITE BRITISH OVER 40 BLOGGERS

The BLOGNIX Retreat Conference in Northamptonshire, England

The UK and especially England has a special meaning to me. It is more than just a weakness for London, I don't feel like a tourist when I am in the country but I'd rather live here. My children went to boarding school for a certain time which they both absolutely loved (and insist it has been the best time of their entire school life), I had an English partner for many years and we commuted back and forth between London and Munich every other week. And finally my daughter is studying in London and is thoroughly enjoying it.

When do you feel really comfortable away from home? I think it is all about people. I have close friends in England and since I started my blog 3 years ago, I virtually met and connected with several British bloggers. Some of them I already saw in London in October, others I now finally met for the first time.

The Conference

The BLOGNIX Retreat Conference which I attended last weekend is a fantastic opportunity "to move beyond the basics in blogging and online creation. It is a place to find those gaps in your skills and fill them with new concepts, approaches and ways to carve out an even stronger place in the blogosphere". Two days filled with presentations and workshops yet with enough time to network and connect with other bloggers - during the day and over a bottle of wine later in the evening ;-)

How to successfully use Pinterest as a search engine for images and drive traffic to your blog, start your first YouTube video, embedding affiliate links via Shopstyle or joining a mastermind group for new blog ideas... these were only a few of the very interesting topics offered at the conference. A special thanks to Elizabeth and Raj for the perfect organisation of this event! By the way, also the BLOGNIX website is a great resource for any blogger!

The Over 40 group

I have been the only blogger travelling from the continent but not the only one over40 - which is often the case at other blogger events! In fact, we turned out to be an amazing and strong group: Fabulous ladies running their blogs in a professional way, full of experience, with challenging jobs, a family and children - and enjoying life! It has been such an incredible weekend and everybody left in high spirits and we can't wait to meet again in the near future.

Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb has been the first blogger I ever followed and hence there is a special connection between us. In her latest post she talks about the importance of having a girl squad and that's exactly how I see it!
So happy to have met her, Michelle, Lisa, Nikki, Liz, Michelle and Lorraine. See you all again soon!

FRÜHJAHRSTRENDS MIT HOBBS LONDON

Die "Ageless Style Tour"mit Alyson Walsh von "That's Not My Age"

Am Mittwoch bin ich aus London zurückgekommen, besser gesagt von der Magnolienblüte und einem Drink im Freien (ok, warm angezogen!) in die winterliche Heimat bei Schnee und Eis :-(

Ich habe Euch schon ein paar Eindrücke auf Instagram gezeigt und im letzten Post über mein Treffen mit den britischen Top Ü40 Bloggerinnen berichtet. Mehr über London jenseits der üblichen Touristenattraktionen und wie man sich dort am besten fortbewegt, erzähle ich Euch nächstes Mal.

Alyson Walsh

Heute geht es um einen Abend bei HOBBS London mit der großartigen Alyson Walsh, Journalistin, Buchautorin "Style Forever: the grown-up guide to looking fabulous", das ich hier auf meinem Blog vorgestellt habe und Bloggerin auf That's Not My Age. Alyson hatte ich bereits letztes Jahr persönlich kennengelernt und als ich hörte, sie würde diesen Abend als Auftakt ihrer "Ageless Style Tour" durch England bei HOBBS Covent Garden beginnen, habe ich mich sofort angemeldet! "Altersloser Stil" im Gegensatz zu "altersgerechter" Kleidung ist doch, worum es bei Stil geht, oder?

Frühjahrskollektion

Mit der britischen Marke habe ich bereits im Sommer 2014 zusammengearbeitet und Euch damals ein elegantes, zeitloses Kleid vorgestellt. Auch die aktuelle Frühjahrskollektion ist klassisch, elegant und in klaren Farben gehalten: Blau, Gelb, Rot und Weiß sind bestimmend.
Wie diese klassischen Teile in einem aktuellen Look getragen werden können, zeigten uns zwei ganz wunderbare 40+ Models, während Alyson dazu Stiltips gab. Der wichtigste übrigens "Tragt bequeme Schuhe!" - und ihre goldenen Derbyschuhe waren auch noch besonders stylish!

Dass ich selbst nun dringend eine neue Frühjahrsgarderobe brauche, steht bei meinem winterlichen Komplettlook in Schwarz wohl außer Frage, oder?? Aber auf Reisen kann man eben nicht allzu viel mitnehmen, ich lag sowieso schon wieder an der Obergrenze meines Freigepäcks...
Meine Favoriten habe ich Euch unten zusammengestellt - am schönsten fand ich das schwarze Gilet-Kleid mit breitem Gürtel, das auch Alyson über ihrer schmalen Hose trägt. Oh je, da bin ich jetzt doch schon wieder bei Schwarz gelandet ;-)

Der Event war in erster Linie für Kundinnen gedacht, besonders gefreut hatte ich mich, dass ich dort auch die Londoner Bloggerin Josephine von Chic At Any Age wiedergesehen habe. London ist nicht nur meine Lieblingsstadt und meine Tochter lebt hier, in England auch noch Freunde zu haben, ist etwas ganz besonderes!

SPRING TRENDS WITH HOBBS LONDON

The ageless style tour with Alyson Walsh of "That's Not My Age"

Last Wednesday I returned from London, meaning from blooming magnolia trees and a drink in the sunshine (although dressed in a warm coat!) to ice and new snow at home :-(

I have shown you first impressions on instagram and blogged about the BLOGNIX conference with my favourite British over 40 bloggers. More about London beyond the usual tourist attractions, travel tips and how to move around in the city I will tell you in my next post.

Today it is all about a lovely evening at HOBBS London Covent Garden hosted by the fabulous Alyson Walsh, freelance journalist, former magazine fashion editor and the author of "Style Forever: the grown-up guide to looking fabulous". Read my book review here. Alyson bloggs about ageless style on That's Not My Age. Last year we already met in London and when I learned about this event, I instantly signed up for it.

Spring Collection

In Summer 2014 I worked with HOBBS and showed you this elegant black and white shift dress. The new spring collection is also classic, elegant and mainly kept in blue, yellow, red and white.
Two lovely 40+ models presented these classic pieces in a current look and Alyson added valuable styling tips. By the way, her best tip was "wear comfortable shoes!" Her golden derbyshoes didn't only look comfortable but also super stylish!

As you can see from my own all-black winterlook I am desperately in need of new spring clothes!! When you travel you have to carefully select your clothes (especially since I had to take lots of treats for my daughter!) and I was close to the allowed weight limit anyway...
I have put together my favourite looks from HOBBS' spring collection - I was obsessed by the black belted gilet-dress worn by Alyson over slim black trousers. Oh, I just realised I am back to black... ;-)

The event war targeted at customers but I was so happy to meet Josephine of Chic At Any Age again, a London blogger whom I already met last year. London is not only my favourite city and my daughter lives here but I am also blessed to have friends over here!

Mein Traum: Leben in Notting Hill

Würdet Ihr gerne woanders leben? Wenn ja - wo?
Mein Zuhause liegt in einer landschaftlich wunderschönen Gegend, dort, wo andere Urlaub machen. Ich weiß es zu schätzen - außer in der kalten Jahreszeit - es ist eine sichere und "gesunde" Umgebung, man ist schnell in München und der Gardasee ist ideal für einen Wochenendtrip gelegen. Beklagen kann ich mich also wirklich nicht! Ich habe viele Jahre in München gelebt und es geliebt, dennoch hängt mein Herz an London. Es ist die Stadt, in der ich gerne leben würde.
Unzählige Male war ich dort und jetzt studiert und lebt meine Tochter im Zentrum Londons. Somit habe ich das Beste aus zwei Welten!

Kensington und Chelsea

Notting Hill im Bezirk Kensington und Chelsea ist eine der begehrtesten Gegenden Londons - und entsprechend teuer. Denkt an eine hohe Monatsmiete in einer teuren Gegend in Deutschland und multipliziert sie mal 4, denn diese Summe kann muss dort pro Woche angesetzt werden... Ja, echt!
Ich bin einfach durch die Gegend geschlendert, habe zwischendurch bei Daylesford eine kleine Pause eingelegt und was leckeres gegessen - alles Bio und ganz viel sogar aus eigener Herstellung von ihrer Farm in Gloucestershire. Dort möchte ich unbedingt einmal hin!

Danach habe ich dann den Mietvertrag für eine wunderschöne Wohnung mit 2 traumhaften Balkonen unterschrieben :-)))))

Central Saint Martins

Schwarze Kleidung, schrille Frisuren, junge Männer mit schwindelerregend hohen Plateausohlen... an ihrem individuellen Stil erkennt man die Studenten des Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, rund um King's Cross, zentral in London. Seit 2 Jahren studiert meine Tochter dort "Fashion Communication and Promotion" und lebt ihren Traum! Und ich kann es nachvollziehen, denn das hätte ich auch gerne gemacht... Oft hole ich meine Tochter dort ab und während ich warte, gib es nichts interessanteres, als die Krativität der Uni und ihrer Menschen zu beobachten.

London Underground - das allgegenwärtige Transportmittel

"Mind the gap!" - von dieser Sicherheitsdurchsage in der Londner U-Bahn hat bestimmt jeder schonmal gehört. Das Massenverkehrsmittel hat ein extrem weites, engmaschiges Netz und wirklich jeder benutzt öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und stellt sich nicht in den Berufsverkehr wie in München auf dem Mittleren Ring. Eine Fahrt mit dem Auto in die Stadt ist undenkbar, man müßte außerdem eine Mautgebühr bezahlen.

Ich habe eine Oyster Card und lade sie immer mit einer Wochenkarte auf, das finde ich am praktischsten. Und da das Tube Netz so groß ist, legt man manchmal auch weite Strecken zurück um von einer Linie zur nächsten zu gelangen, oft auch viele Stockwerke in die Tiefe.

Dabei am wichtigsten überhaupt: Bequeme Schuhe!! Man sieht keine Frau und sei sie noch so schick gekleidet, mit Absätzen, einfach, weil es blödsinning wäre! Ich bin die ganze Zeit in Sneakers unterwegs, ein Vorteil, dass sie eh so im Trend liegen. Die schicken Stiefeletten und Sandalen mit Absätzen meiner Tochter, die sie sich noch vor wenigen Jahren gekauft hatte, stehen ungetragen im Schrank...

Nur einmal verzichtete ich gerne auf die U-Bahn, nämlich vom Flughafen Heathrow in die Innenstadt! Wie immer, wenn ich fliege, bin ich mit Maximalgepäck unterwegs, alles andere habe ich einfach noch nie geschafft... Walking around Notting Hill

Would you like to live somewhere else? If so - where would that be?
I live in a beautiful area in Southern Bavaria with a breathtaking landscape and a place where others spend their holidays. I am very grateful for that and I'd never take it for granted. Ideally located it is not far from Munich where I lived for many years and only a couple of hours to drive to Northern Italy. I can't and don't want to complain (except for long winters!)
However, I would like to live in Notting Hill :-) I have been there numerous times and since my daughter is living in London, I now have a home away from home! Although not in Notting Hill yet...

Kensington and Chelsea

Notting Hill as part of Kensington and Chelsea is one of the most desirable residential areas in London - and most expensive too. When I look at monthly rental costs in a top location in Germany i.e. Munich and its suburbs, it will be that amount per week here!!!

I spent a whole morning just walking through the streets of Notting Hill, with some window shopping and a nice snack at my favourite place Daylesford with natural, organic food from one of the most sustainable farms in Gloucestershire.

And then I signed the contract for a beautiful 2-bedroom flat with 2 balconies - hahaha :-)))))

Central Saint Martins

All black looks, fancy blue hair and young Asian men in high platform shoes... students at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts at Granary Square in central London. For two years now, my daughter is studying "Fashion Communication and Promotion" and living her dream! I always enjoy meeting her there and love watching this creative place and its people.

Getting around London

"Mind the gap!" - who hasn't heard of that typical security announcement on the London underground? You can even buy t-shirts with the quote! Everybody is using the tube here and wouldn't even think of driving into the city by car. There is not only the busy traffic as in almost every city but on top of it you have to pay a Congestion Charge of £11.50 per day. Not a single time I have used a car in the city!

I have an Oyster Travel Card and just top it up with a weekly pass when I am there. Because of the complex tube network, a lot (!!) of walking is included all day long and the most important advice I have for you: Forget about shoes with heels but go for sneakers only! Luckily they are so trendy anyway and not only comfortable but very stylish at the same time. This is not only for tourists but you won't see stylish Londoners on the tube wearing heels either!

My daughter has got some lovely pairs of booties and sandals with heels which she only bought a couple of years ago. Now they are in her wardrobe most of the time waiting to be worn sometimes at night for going out only.

Blacklane Limousine Service

Only once I was so glad not to travel on the tube. After my arrival at Heathrow Airport with my super heavy suitcase (I just cannot travel light!) I was so happy to meet my driver in a black limousine taking me directly into the city centre. Such a fabulous experience! Thank you so much for this excellent service provided by Blacklane.

ROT - EINE FARBE, DIE NICHT ZU ÜBERSEHEN IST!

Eine starke Farbe, wenn's draußen grau ist...

Schlechtes Wetter hat einen immensen Einfluss darauf, wie ich mich fühle... ich brauche Wärme und Sonne! Momentan haben wir hier im Alpenvorland nicht einmal einen Hauch davon, der Frühling scheint bis heute in weiter Ferne zu sein. Nachtfrost, ein kalter Ostwind und einzelne Schneeflocken dieses Wochenende sind echt nicht vielversprechend, also halte ich mich mal an die zweistelligen Grade, die uns der Wetterbericht für nächstes Wochenende vorhersagt :-)

Wenn das Wetter so grau ist, neige ich des öfteren dazu, auch viel dunkle Farben zu tragen, aber manchmal halte ich mit Farbe doch dagegen! Heute ist es Rot und es gibt wohl kaum eine Farbe, die eine stärkere Wirkung hat, oder?

Lässige Sneakers oder stylishe Pumps?

Mein Look ist heute ganz in klassischen Farben gehalten: Dunkelblau, Weiß und Rot. Meine Sneakers geben dem ganzen Outfit einen lässigen Touch. Ich habe sie (sie sind von Zara, allerdings vom letzten Sommer) in London fast jeden Tag getragen und bin darin den ganzen Tag in der Stadt rumgelaufen, ohne dass ich abends irgendwelche Blasen oder Beschwerden hatte!
Ich habe Euch hier einige Alternativen zusammengestellt, darunter auch diese silbergrauen von Breuninger aus Leder.

Mit nur wenigen Änderungen kann ich diesen eher lässigen Look im Büro tragen: Dazu tausche ich einfach meine Sneakers gegen Pumps, sowie den großen roten Schal gegen ein klassisches Seidentuch. Super finde ich dazu diese blauen Wildleder Pumps von Paul Green und diese roten Schnürpumps - auch von Paul Green.

Kurzmantel

Ich habe mehrere Kurzmäntel - oder lange Blazer, je nachdem, wie man sie bezeichnen möchte, die ich Euch in letzter Zeit gezeigt habe. Heute trage ich meinen neuen Mantel in dunkelblau-weißem Bouclé von Esprit, den mir meine liebe Bloggerfreundin Anja, die Schminktante geschenkt hat! Anja fand, der Mantel passt nicht zu ihr (ja. manchmal gibt es einfach diese Fehlkäufe!) und hat sofort an mich gedacht. Ich habe mich unheimlich gefreut, denn es ist tatsächlich genau mein Stil :-)

A STATEMENT IN RED

When the sun doesn't shine, add colour!

Bad weather makes me feel bad... I really depend on warm temperatures and sunshine. Currently there isn't any hint of spring in the Bavarian mountains yet, we still have frost at night although the forecast mentioned temperatures up to 13C from next weekend. Well, there is some hope then!

Casual sneakers or stylish pumps?

I kept my outfit in very classic colours: Navy blue, white and red. My sneakers give it a casual, trendy touch. I wore them almost every single day in London last week and they are most comfortable! Even after a whole day on and off the tube and walking around Notting Hill my feet felt perfectly alright at night!

For a more formal look I can just change my sneakers for navy blue pumps and wear a classic silk scarf instead of the big red scarf. I love these classic patent pumps with a comfortable blockheel from Clarks which are perfect for the office. Alternatively I'd go for these gorgeous red heels from asos!

Short coats

I have recently shown you several short coats, usually they are open at the front and so easy to wear. This blue and white soft bouclé coat is a lovely gift from my bloggerfriend Anja, beauty blogger and make-up artist over at Schminktante. When I met her in Berlin last month, she gave it to me since she felt it didn't suit her style but immediately thought of me! How kind is that! She does know my style.

COVERSHOOTING FÜR DAS LEBENLANG MAGAZIN

Ausgabe 05 - März 2016: BEWEGT & RUHIG

Macht Ihr Yoga? Toll! Dann seht Ihr mit Sicherheit auch sofort, dass ich es bisher nicht gemacht habe, sondern für diese Fotos unter der Anleitung meines Fotografen Cristopher Santos für das Cover des Lebenlang online Magazins "nur" Modell gestanden bin!

Wobei "gestanden" nicht ganz richtig ist, denn 2 Stunden lang vollkonzentriert, die Körperspannung haltend und dabei immer sanft lächelnd durchaus anstrengend ist! Aber auf eine unheimlich angenehme Art, denn die Atmosphäre im Studio war genial. Profi Fotograf Cris versteht nicht nur super Fotos zu machen, sondern ein Laienmodell über den gesamten Zeitraum hinweg zu motivieren, zu beruhigen und immer wieder zum Lachen zu bringen! Es war eine großartige Erfahrung und ich freue mich sehr, das Covermodel des aktuellen Lebenlang Magazins zu sein! Danke an das gesamte Team!!

Das digitale Magazin Lebenlang bietet positive Inspiration und Information rund um Pflege und Gesundheit. Der Themenfächer umfasst z.B. berufliche Chancen in allen Bereichen der Pflege, Lebens- und Wohnmodelle für das Alter, gesunde Ernährung, Digitales und Netzwelt, Aktivität/Mobilität sowie Schönheit im Wandel eines Lebens.

Ich war ja kürzlich anläßlich des Frühstückstalks mit Vichy für Lebenlang in Berlin. Und da ich am Abend vorher anreiste, konnten wir dieses Fotoshooting in den Räumen des Lebenlang und sisterMag in Berlin machen, bevor ich mich anschließend mit Valérie von Life40up!, Irit von Irit Eser und Anja, der Schminktante traf, um uns auf die Frühstücksrunde und den Videodreh am nächsten Tag einzustimmen... Alles darüber, sowie das Video gibt es im Lebenlang Magazin hier - und natürlich hier auf dem Blog in meinen persönlichen Post.

Yoga

Yoga - noch mache ich es nicht aktiv, ich habe mir zwar schon DVDs zum Anfangen für zuhause gekauft und bin derzeit auf der Suche nach einem Kurs und das ist hier auf dem Land gar nicht so einfach, Yoga-Trend hin oder her! Entweder nicht für Anfänger (und es ist wichtig, die einzelnen Posen von Grund auf einzuüben) oder zu sehr Klangschalen und Esoterik... das liegt mir persönlich überhaupt nicht, ich brauche etwas "bodenständigeres" für meine Haltung, Körperspannung und Balance.

Overall

Übrigens, mein dunkelblauer Overall ist von Zara und wie man ihn auf unterschiedliche Weise stylen kann, zeige ich Euch demnächst hier, Barfuß, ohne irgendwelche Accessoires und Schmuck ist das nämlich nicht ganz so einfach ;-)

Edition 5 - March 2016: ACTIVE AND STILL

Do you practise yoga? Great! Then you most likely immediately spotted I have never done it before and was only posing for these photos under the guidance of my photographer Cristopher Santos when we did this photoshoot for the German e-mag Lebenlang!

Well "posing" may not perfectly describe it since it was quite hard work to both keep a certain body tension as well as balance - plus gently smile at the same time! But the photoshoot took place in such a relaxed atmosphere. Cris, as a professional photographer not only took great photos but is such a lovely person who didn't stop to encourage and motivate me as well as made me laugh! It has been an amazing experience and I am very grateful for this opportunity. A massive "thank you" to Cris and the entire team of Lebenlang and sisterMag!

Lebenlang, a digital magazine provides valuable information on health care, nutrition, activity as well as health and beauty for the second half of our lives.

Two weeks ago, I was in Berlin for a blogger breakfast talk about nightcare by Vichy. Since I arrived the night before, I went straight from the airport to the studio where we took these photos before I met with my blogger friends for dinner: Valérie, lifestyle blogger at Life40up!, Irit, beautyblogger at Irit Eser and Anja, make-up artist and blogger at Schminktante. Yoga

Yoga - I haven't actively started yet although I already bought a DVD to get some inspiration. Currently I am looking for a beginner's course (I feel it is important to start with the basics) but it is quite difficult here in a small village. I am looking for power yoga rather than the spiritual version in order to improve my flexibility and strengthen my muscles as well as gaining an overall balance.

Jumpsuit

My navyblue jumpsuit is from Zara's spring collection and I will show you how I style it in different versions over the next couple of weeks. Then of course with shoes, accessories and jewellery!

ÜBERGANGSLOOK IM BLEISTIFTROCK MIT STIEFELN

Langsam wird das Wetter besser, der Frühling scheint auch hier vor der Tür zu stehen und dieses Wochenende habe ich viel Zeit im Freien verbracht. Sonne und frische Luft tanken (auf Instagram ein Foto von gestern), ein langer Spaziergang, natürlich mit einer Einkehr und anschließend ein Nachmittagscappuccino auf der Terrasse - herrlich!

Kleidungstechnisch ist es die klassische Übergangszeit. Viele schwören ja dann auf einen Lagenlook, den ich persönlich komischerweise gar nicht mag. Die vielen Schichten, womöglich noch in unterschiedlichen Längen passen nur in ganz seltenen Fällen zu meinem Stil.
Bei Oberteilen habe ich auch nie ein Problem - ein kurz- oder langärmliges Top, je nach Temperatur und dazu eine Jacke, Blazer oder wie hier meine Lederjacke, die dem ganzen einen coolen Touch gibt, sind mir ein liebsten.

Schuhe in der Übergangszeit

Schwierig finde ich um diese Jahreszeit hingegen das Thema Schuhe!
Auf Strumpfhosen verzichte ich bei der erstmöglichen Erwärmung sowieso (um mir dann ständig anzuhören "Ist Dir nicht kalt?") genausowenig mag ich Socken oder diese grässlichen Feinstrümpfe.
Pumps ohne Strümpfe zu Hosen sind hoffentlich sehr bald möglich, zu Röcken nicht nur temperaturmäßig, sondern vor allem wegen blasser Beine momentan aber noch nicht der Hit ;-) Langsam fange ich mit einem leichten Selbstbräuner an und halte meine Beine in die Sonne, dann wird das schon werden!

Stiefel kann ich eigentlich nicht mehr sehen, ich habe sie zu oft getragen, vor allem meine schwarzen Stiefeletten sind um diese Zeit nicht mehr passend, sie wirken einfach zu winterlich.
Meinen neuen Rock, den ich kürzlich in London gekauft habe (jetzt bei Oasis im Sale!) habe ich daher mit ganz leichten, beigen Stiefeln in Wildlederoptik kombiniert. Das sind Stiefel, die ich im Winter kaum tragen kann und erst jetzt ihren Einsatz haben, da sie für trockenes, milderes Wetter geeignet sind. Ich hatte sie mir auch in Dunkelblau gekauft, die ich auch gerne z,B. zum Jeansrock oder Skinnies trage.

Wie löst Ihr die Schuhfrage in der Übergangszeit?
Dabei fällt mir ein, ich brauche ja ganz dringend neue für den Frühling... :-)))

TRANSITIONAL LOOK IN A PENCILSKIRT WITH BOOTS

Slowly our weathing is getting better and spring is just around the corner in the Bavarian mountains. It has been a lovely weekend and I spent as much time as possible outside, went for a long walk along one of the beautiful trails starting in front of my house, enjoyed a drink in a popular rustic mountain restaurant and started getting my terrace ready for the warmer season ahead.

When it comes to clothes, this is the classic transitional season. Layered looks are very popular at this time of the year but personally I am not a fan of them. Only very occasionally I go for layers as I don't feel comfortable with the different lengths which are typical for that style. I prefer a top with short or longer sleeves according to the temperature and just add a jacket, blazer or a leather jacket like today which gives my outfit a cool touch.

Finding the right shoes for the transitional season

Finding the right shoes proves to be quite challenging right now!
At the earliest opportunity I give up wearing tights (having to listen to the odd "don't you feel cold?" every morning) and I also don't like socks or thin stockings in knee-length. Very soon I hope to wear trousers and pumps without them but unfortunately it is yet too early for skirts and dresses showing bare legs... especially my pale ones ;-) I have to start using a light self-tanning lotion and get them out into the sun!

Boots have been my choice all winter, now I don't find them appropriate for spring any longer, especially not my black leather booties, I am so ready for a change!
I have paired my new pencilskirt which I bought in London recently (it is from Oasis and on Sale now!) with my beige faux-suede boots. They are very light and not suitable for cold and wet winter conditions but actually perfect for this milder, dry weather. I also got them in navy blue and like wearing them with skinnies or a denim skirt.

If you live in a colder climate, what is your choice of shoes during the transitional season?

Wildleder und Glattleder

Was habe ich neulich erzählt? Das Wetter wird langsam besser? Leider war das wohl nur ein Wunschgedanke, denn heute hat es schon wieder geschneit...
Also bleibe ich bei Hosen und Stiefeln und ohne Mantel geht sowieso nichts. Als wir diese Fotos gemacht haben, konnte ich wenigstens kurzfristig meinen Wintermantel gegen meinen Wildledermantel eintauschen.

Es gibt so ein paar Looks, die ich persönlich normalerweise nie trage, dazu gehört der Lagenlook (mag ich an anderen, aber nicht an mir), aber vor allem "Denim on Denim" (also Jeansjacke oder -hemd zur Jeans) und gar nicht vorstellen kann ich mir meine schwarze Lederjacke (hier gezeigt) zu meinen Lieblingsleggings aus schwarzem Kunstleder (hier gezeigt), das wäre einfach nicht mein Stil.

Details meines Looks

Heute trage ich einen Mix aus echtem Wildleder und glattem Kunstleder und darin fühle ich mich sehr wohl, denn ich achte auf ein paar Details:

Zwei sich wiederholende Farben (plus neutrales Schwarz), die harmonisch wirken.
Der Look ist "clean" auch wenn meine Stiefeletten mit Schlangenmuster auffällig sind.
Die Silhouette ist gerade und schlicht.
Keine weiteren Accessoires bis auf meine silbernen Kreolen.

Suede and faux leather

Recently I said spring is slowly arriving here in Bavaria. Unfortunately I was wrong and there was snow again today and also the Easter weekend doesn't sound promising...
That means I am back into trousers and boots most of the time and of course I have to wear coats. Fortunately, when we took these photos, at least I was able to swop my thick winter coat for my lighter suede coat.

There are a couple of looks I normally don't wear, including a layered look (I do like it on others!) but especially "denim on denim" and I'd never combine my black leatherjacket (shown here) with my favourite black faux leather leggings (shown here), it's just not my style.

Details of my look

Today I am wearing a mix of real suede leather and faux leather and do feel really comfortable in it since I pay a lot of attention to details:

Two reoccuring colours (plus neutral black) which go well together (although a bit unusual).
It is a clean look with my snake print booties as the only striking attribute.
Straight and simple silhouette.
No additional accessories except my silver ear hoops.

Eine Frage des Stils

Als ich meine Fotos sortiert und an diesem Post gearbeitet habe, war ich ziemlich unsicher, ob ich diesen Look überhaupt veröffentlichen soll. Nicht (nur) weil der Rock etwas kürzer ist und mich die grässliche, hautfarbene Strumpfhose stört, sondern wegen des Stils.

Ich habe noch vor wenigen Jahren, auch in den Anfangszeiten meines Blogs, einen wesentlich klassisch-eleganteren Stil getragen und mich darin absolut wohlgefühlt. Ich kann mich mittlerweile mit sehr vielen meiner alten Posts nicht mehr identifizieren, denn ich wurde offenener und experimentierfreudiger.
Natürlich würde ich einen durchgehend klassischen Look nach wie vor bei einer entsprechend offiziellen, formellen Gelegenheit gerne tragen!
Tagsüber bevorzuge ich nach wie vor feminine Kleidung, trage ich sie jetzt aber deutlich cooler und lässiger kombiniert - Thema Stilmix, darüber habe ich ja schon oft geschrieben.

Nachdem das Pantone Institut Rose Quartz, ein zartes Rosa, neben Serenity, einem Hellblau, zur Farbe 2016 deklariert hat und ich einen Trenchcoat in genau dieser Farbe schon seit Jahren besitze, dachte ich, er passt super zu klassischem Dunkelblau. Dazu genau abgestimmt eine Kette in dieser Farbrichtung und ein schickes, kleines Täschchen von Benetton und ein langer, feiner Schal.

Stilwandel

Es ist sicher nichts falsch an dieser Zusammenstellung und dennoch fühle ich mich nicht mehr wohl darin! Dieses zarte Rosé ist absolut nicht meine Farbe (Hellblau übrigens auch nicht) und das ganze ist mir viel zu damenhaft - ich werde es so mit Sicherheit nicht mehr tragen (und den Mantel weitergeben).
Dennoch wollte ich Euch dieses Outfit nicht vorenthalten, denn ich selbst habe damit wieder einmal erkannt, dass man sich weiterentwickeln kann, selbst wenn man mit 53 denkt, seinen Stil zu kennen!

Macht ein Foto!

Und noch etwas: Vor dem Spiegel sieht manches anders aus als auf Fotos, sprich "in echt". Macht einfach schnell ein Handyfoto, wenn Ihr unsicher seid oder einen neuen Look ausprobieren möchtet und lasst es auf Euch wirken. Ich garantiere Euch, es ist ehrlicher als der Spiegel!

Fazit

Jede/r hat seinen/ihren individuellen Stil und für mich ist mein Kleidungsstil Ausdruck meiner Persönlichkeit. Wie auch bei vielen anderen Dingen in meinem Leben, habe ich in den letzten Jahren erkannt, was für mich persönlich wichtig ist und wie ich mich selbst sehe und bin auch bereit, das deutlich zu machen und zu zeigen. Übrigens nicht nur mit meiner Kleidung!

(TOO) ELEGANT IN NAVY BLUE AND ROSE QUARTZ

It's all about style

When I sorted my photos and worked on this post I was hesitant to actually publish it. Not (only) because my skirt is shorter than I'd usually wear it and those ugly nude tights are visible but because of the overall style.

Until a couple of years ago, in the early days of my blog, my style was elegant, classy and often quite formal. I was comfortable with my style! When I look at those old posts now, I don't feel that's "me" any longer. Over the years I became more open and loved experimenting with new trends, incorporated them into my personal style, in a way I felt younger although I got older!
Now I'd wear a classic, elegant outfit from head to toe only for a formal occasion, that's where it is appropriate.
I still prefer a feminine, sophisticated look but in the meantime my favourite is a mix of different styles, I love pairing elegant with cool, casual or edgy elements. And that's exactly what I am missing when I look at this outfit.

The Pantone Institute selected Rose Quartz, a light pink, besides Serenity, a light blue as the colours of 2016 and I remembered my trenchcoat in a pink blush which I had in my wardrobe for many years. It is a lovely contrast to my navy blue boots, shirt and skirt and I chose my new little bag from Benetton as a classic accessory.

Change of style

Of course there is nothing wrong with this combination - BUT: I don't feel comfortable in it any longer! The light pink is not my colour (nor is light blue by the way) and I feel too ladylike. That's why I certainly won't wear it again (and the coat will go to charity!)
Although I was reluctant to publish this post, I still did since I wanted to explain why it is so important to only wear clothes we feel comfortable in - no matter what others might say. Even if you know your style, don't get stuck in a routine but remain open and adjust or change it if necessary - like I did at 53!

Another tip: If you are not sure whether to buy or wear a certain piece or outfit, take a photo with your mobile phone. Photos tell the truth while mirrors don't always do!

I express my personality through my individual style. Over the past years I have learned a lot more about myself and what I really want and I show that - not only with my clothes of course.

WIE STYLE ICH EIN KURZES JEANSKLEID ÜBER 50?

Ein Minikleid mit 53? Darf man das?

Ja sicher darf ich! Weil ich es nämlich für mich beschlossen habe!
Naja, ich habe schon erst zweimal überlegt ;-) Dann aber sofort an die tolle Idee meiner wunderbaren englischen Bloggerfreundin Catherine von Not Dressed As Lamb gedacht. Auf einen unglaublich idiotischen Artikel, der so ziemlich alles in Frage stellte was man ab 30 angeblich nicht mehr tragen darf hat sie die Aktion #iwillwearwhatilike (Ich trage, was ich will) ins Leben gerufen.

Für mich persönlich heißt das nicht, dass ich jetzt alles trage, aber dennoch gibt es keine allgemein gültigen Regeln, was "man" darf. Schließlich steht ein Minirock auch nicht jeder 20jährigen, oder?
Ich persönlich richte mich danach, ob es mir gefällt, zu meiner Figur passt und für den Anlass angemessen ist (auch das habe ich von Catherine übernommen!)

Stylingserien

Kürzlich habe ich mir bei Esprit dieses schlichte Jeanskleid gekauft und beim Anprobieren in der Umkleidekabine dachte ich mir zunächst, dass ich es wohl nicht als Kleid tragen werde...
Bei der Gelegenheit: Bitte, Esprit, Eure Kabinenbeleuchtung ist die unvorteilhafteste, die man sich vorstellen kann! Ich habe dort regelmäßig 5kg mehr, bin käseweiß und habe tiefe Dellen an den Oberarmen (was ich normalerweise natürlich nie habe!!), aber ehrlich - dort ist es extrem schlimm!!

Es gibt mehrere Varianten, dieses kurze Kleid zu tragen, die ich Euch in meiner neuen Stylingserie zeigen möchte. Ich habe in den letzten Jahren schon ein paar Mal verschiedene Möglichkeiten, ein bestimmtes Kleidungsstück zu tragen, vorgestellt, die Links dazu findet Ihr ganz am Ende dieses Posts.

Styling Variante 1 - Minikleid

Mein erster Look ist also ganz einfach, das Kleid auch als Kleid zu tragen! Und eben weil es so kurz ist, habe ich dabei ein paar Dinge beachtet, damit ich mich darin auch mit 53 wohlfühle.

1. Schlichtes Styling
Das Kleid ist kurz, also brauche ich keine zusätzlichen Hingucker, sondern beschränke mich auf wenige, neutrale Farben und dezente Accessoires.

2. Optisch strecken
Meine schmale, schwarze Jacke in Wildlederoptik von Zara und der lange Kaschmirschal von Tchibo strecken den Look optisch.

3. Blickdichte Strumpfhose
Blickdichte schwarze Strümpfe und schwarze Wildlederpumps strecken nicht nur meine Beine, sondern sind meine Option, ein so kurzes Kleid zu tragen.

4. Freizeitlook
Dieses Outfit passt für's Wochenende oder den Feierabend und ist kein Look für's Büro. Im Sitzen ist so eine Länge schließlich noch kürzer und das geht zumindest in meinem Arbeitsumfeld nicht.

5. Beinfrei
Mit gebräunten, nackten Beinen würde ich es als Kleid nur im Garten oder am Strand tragen.

HOW TO WEAR A SHORT DENIM DRESS OVER 50

A minidress at 53? Can I still wear that?

Of course I can! Why? Because I decided to!
Well, not quite... of course I was a bit hesitant and thought about it twice ;-)
But then I instantly (asked my blogger friends) and thought of the brilliant idea by my fabulous UK blogger friend Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb, When she read this incredibly stupid article about 24 Things Women Should Stop Wearing After Age 30 she initiated the #iwillwearwhatilike campaign.

For me personally that doesn't mean I will wear everything but I agree there aren't any general rules you are no longer allowed to wear at a certain age! A miniskirt might not be the ideal choice for every 20something either!
My style is based on: Do I like it? Does it flatter my bodyshape? Is it the right look for the occasion? (Again, thank you, Catherine!)

Recently I did a bit of a weekend shopping tour in the area and got this short denim dress from Esprit. When I tried it on in the changing room, I thought to myself, I would never wear it as a dress but a tunic only. That was fine for me as I was already thinking of various other styling options. But as you can see now, I have changed my mind ;-)
Some of the styling ideas I'd like to show you in my new styling series which I have already done a couple of times over the previous years. Please find the links to those styling series at the bottom of this post.

Styling Option 1 - Minidress

My first look is simple: Dress worn as a dress!
Since it obviously is quite short, I followed my own styling rules how to actually wear it in order to feel confident with its length at 53.

1. Simple Styling
The dress is short and therefore doesn't require any additional highlights. I chose neutral colours and only basic accessories.

2. Visual enhancement
My black faux suede jacket by Zara and long cashmere scarf by Tchibo draw the eye downwards, giving the illusion of making the dress appear longer.

3. Opaque tights
Black opaque tights and suede pumps don't only make my legs look longer (never a bad choice!) but are also my solution to wear a length outside my usual comfort zone.

4. Casual look
This outfit is perfect for the weekends or after work but not an option for my working environment considering that the dress will even look shorter when I am sitting at my desk.

5. Bare legs
With tanned legs, I'd give this dress a go - but only in my garden or at the beach :-)

Legerer Wochenendlook

Letztes Mal habe ich mein Jeanskleid als Kleid getragen - was ich aufgrund der Länge (bzw. Kürze!) erst zweimal überlegt hatte, aber auch Dank Eures Zuspruchs nicht bereue :-) Danke für Eure vielen lieben Kommentare zu diesem Look!

Heute gibt es eine ganz andere Variante, nämlich die, die ich zuerst beim Anprobieren im Laden im Kopf hatte: Das Jeanskleid offen getragen über Leggings oder zur schmalen Hose. Leggings sind ja immer so eine Sache, nicht nur in meinem Alter! Zuhause trage ich sie liebend gerne, weil sie so bequem sind, draußen nur dickere Varianten, das sind dann eher Stretchhosen. Damit fühle ich mich wohl, wenn ich sie mit einem längeren Oberteil kombiniere, z.B. einer langen Strickjacke, einem Kurzmantel oder einer Tunika.

Meine Kombination mit Leggings, weichem Schal und flachen Schuhen ist für mich ein perfekter "Samstagslook", d.h. lässig, aber dennoch schick aufgepeppt mit Schuhen und Accessoires im Metalliclook. So mache ich am Samstagvormittag Erledigungen, gehe zum Einkaufen, trinke zwischendurch in meinem Lieblings-Eiscafé einen Cappuccino (da geht ja jetzt endlich wieder draußen!) und ~~vertrödle~~ genieße dabei gerne ein bisschen die Zeit... so sollen Wochenende sein, oder? Natürlich unternehme ich auch gerne etwas, aber am allerliebsten bin ich tagsüber nicht verplant!

WORN AS A TUNIC WITH LEGGINGS

Casual weekend look

In my last post I showed you my new denim dress actually worn as a dress - you may remember I thought about it twice since its length is outside my usual comfort zone ;-) However, and thanks to your encouragement and positive feedback, I am confident now to sport it with opaque tights!

Today I am wearing it in a completely different styling which was my initial thought when I tried it on in the shop: Worn as a long shirt or tunic with leggings.
Leggings can be tricky, not only at my age! At home I love being comfortable and casual in leggings but when I leave the house, I only wear thicker ones, skinnies or slim stretch trousers paired with a longer shirt, cardigan or tunic.

My combination with leggings, a cosy scarf (super soft cotton) and flat shoes is a perfect weekendlook: casual easy-chic spiced up with metallic accessories and shoes. A typical outfit I'd wear on a Saturday for grocery shopping and doing errands, not to forget a cup of cappuccino in my favourite café in town. Finally temperatures warmed up and it is possible to sit outside again. It is a lovely way to ~~waste~~ spend the day... but that's what weekends are for, right?

JEANSKLEID ZUM LEDERROCK

Eleganter Stil mit legerem Touch

Im 3. Teil meiner Stylingserie zeige ich Euch wiederum eine ganz andere Variante, mein simples, gerades Jeanskleid zu kombinieren. NachTeil 1 - Minikleid und Teil 2 - Wochenendlook mit Leggings trage ich es heute als langes, offenes Hemd und gebe damit einem an sich eleganten Look aus Bleistiftrock und hohen Pumps eine legere Note.

Ich mag es besonders gerne, einem Outfit mit wenigen Handgriffen eine andere Richtung zu geben:
Stellt Euch diesen Look mit einem schwarzem Top und klassischem Blazer statt Jeanshemd vor - ein super Look für abends zum Weggehen.
Und die hohen Pumps zusätzlich durch klassische, schwarze ersetzt und schon wird ein perfektes Outfit für's Büro draus.

Wenn es um Accessoires geht, bin ich ja selten zurückhaltend ;-) Erst die passenden Schuhe, Tasche, Tuch oder Schmuck bringen den gewünschten Effekt. Da ich nicht so häufig gemusterte Kleidung trage, haben Accessoires oft noch mehr Gewicht, kommen besser zur Geltung und haben eine größere Wirkung.

Schmuck von eternal collection

Heute trage ich ein Armband und Ohrringe aus Halbedelsteinen in wunderschönen Farben von eternal collection. Es ist ein Familienunternehmen aus Schottland, mit dem ich schon mehrfach zusammengearbeitet und Euch z.B. hier meine eisblaue Kette und Armband gezeigt habe. Es wird viel Wert auf lokale Produktion gelegt und daher wird ein Großteil des Schmucks direkt vor Ort von Hand hergestellt, der Rest stammt aus verschiedenen Produktionsstätten, z.B. aus Venedig, der Heimat der Murano Glas Serie.

Ich bin ja ein großer Fan von Perlenschmuck, den meine englische Bloggerfreundin Nikki von Midlife Chic kürzlich hier vorgestellt hat. Nikki ist eine ganz wunderbare Frau, wir haben uns im Februar auf der BLOGNIX Konferenz persönlich kennengelernt und ich freue mich schon jetzt auf unser Wiedersehen im Mai in London!

In the 3rd part of my styling series I show you the versatility of my denim dress: Worn as a long shirt with a faux leather pencil skirt and high heels.
I started off with part 1 - minidress followed by part 2 - weekend look with leggings and today I am dressing down an elegant look with my short denim dress.

I love it when I can easily restyle an outfit for different occasions:
Going out at night? Simply trade the denim shirt for a dark blazer!
Office look: Classy black leather pumps and a black blouse make it an appropriate attire for work.

Talking of accessories: "Less is more" is certainly not my personal attitude ;-) The right pair of shoes, a great handbag, a unique scarf and of course jewellery are most important to me. Usually I prefer plain-coloured clothes and therefore accessories have an important impact on my stylings.

Jewellery by eternal collection

Today I am wearing a bracelet and earrings made of semiprecious stones in beautiful jeweltones by eternal collection. The costume jewellery online store is owned and run by a family team in Scotland. About two thirds of their jewellery is made in-house and is complemented by beautiful items sourced from around the world like Venice, home of their murano glass series. I collaborated with eternal collection several times and showed you gorgeous pieces like this iceblue necklace and bracelet here.

Pearls are part of their collection and just recently my blogger friend Nikki of Midlike Chic showed her beautiful necklace here. We met at the BLOGNIX conference in February and can't wait to meet again in London in May!

KLASSISCHER FRÜHLINGSLOOK IN DUNKELBLAU - WEISS

Bei Dunkelblau und Weiß denke ich immer an meine Kollegen von der Luftwaffe und Marine in ihren Uniformen (und meiner eigene Uniform während der vielen Jahre, die ich für Swissair gearbeitet habe).
Mein Look heute ist zwar in den klassischen Farben dieser Uniformen gehalten, aber dennoch anders, ohne Strenge, sondern weich und feminin!

Endlich kann man wieder weiße Hosen tragen - im Winter finde ich sie, genauso wie weiße Röcke, einfach unpassend und daher bleiben sie in der kalten Jahreszeit im Schrank.

Frühjahrstipp: Weiße Hosen

Ich habe einige davon:
Eine weite Leinenhose (zeige ich Euch demnächst in neuer Kombination), eine lässige im Baggystil mit aufgesetzter Tasche, eine schmale, lange und diese neue knöchellange Hose von expresso - diese Länge trage ich sehr gerne trage, egal ob mit hohen Schuhen oder bequemen flachen oder auch Sneakers. Im Winter sind 7/8 Hosen hingegen sehr unpraktisch, da sie weder mit Stiefeletten gut aussehen und mit Söckchen natürlich gar nicht gehen!

Neben einem guten Schnitt ist das wichtigste bei weißen Hosen, dass sie aus guter Qualität, aus nicht zu dünnem Stoff und damit nicht durchsichtig sind. Hautfarbene (keine weiße!) Unterwäsche versteht sich von selbst.

Dazu trage ich ein gemustertes, ärmelloses Top mit sehr angenehmem Stretchanteil, Dadurch sitzt es nicht eng, aber figurbetont und hat unten ein ganz leichtes Schößchen. Zusätzlich ist es mit schmalen Biesen aus Kunstleder abgesetzt.

Meinen dunkelblauen Blazer habe ich sicher seit 20 Jahren! Ich kann mich noch sehr gut erinnern, als ich ihn in Starnberg gekauft habe. Er war damals richtig teuer, die Qualität ist aber auch hervorragend. Daher hat es sich gelohnt, dass ich ihn vor ein paar Jahren von meiner Schneiderin etwas umändern ließ. Bei einem 39€ Blazer von H&M wäre ich bestimmt nicht auf diese Idee gekommen!

CLASSIC SPRINGLOOK IN NAVYBLUE AND WHITE

Dark blue and white always remind me of military uniforms of my Air Force and Navy colleagues (and the uniform I wore during my years with Swissair!) In terms of fashion it usually means a very classic outfit but I opted for a softer, more feminine touch.

Finally it is the season for white trousers again! Of course there are no strict rules but personally I'd never wear white trousers or skirts during the cold months, it just doesn't feel right for me.

How to wear white trousers

have a couple of different white trousers:
Wide linen trousers (which I will show you in a new combination soon), casual, baggy ones and long, classic white trousers. In summer I love slim cropped trousers which I pair with high heels, flats or sneakers (I can't get into the cropped wide ones!) and just got these new ones in an ankle length. During winter I find cropped trousers very difficult to wear: They don't work with booties and of course wearing them with socks is not an option at all...

When you are looking for a pair of white trousers for the new season pay attention to get a good quality and solid fabric to avoid an undesired see-through effect. Nude underwear is essential of course!

The printed sleeveless top is very comfortable yet form-fitting as it is slightly strechy and has a soft peplum cut.

I got my darkblue blazer around 20 years ago and even remember where I bought it! I was really expensive at the time but the quality is outstanding and therefore it woth worth having it altered to a more current fit a couple of years ago. You'd certainly not spend the money on a 39€ blazer from H&M but in this case it was well worth it.

Legerer Look für's Wochenende

Mein heutiger Look ist sicher nichts besonderes, aber ich möchte Euch einfach ein ganz typisches Outfit zeigen, das ich z.B, am Wochenende trage, wenn ich nichts besonderes vorhabe.

Jeans gehören zwischendurch immer wieder dazu - egal ob klassische, gerade geschnittene oder trendige flared Jeans. Heute sind es Skinnies, bei denen ich immer auf einen hohen Stretchanteil und einen hochgeschnittenem Bund achte. Hüftjeans trage ich überhaupt nicht gerne, sie betonen nicht nur meine breiteste Stelle - die Hüfte - sondern ich finde sie auch total unangenehm, vor allem beim Bücken!

Das Wetter ist noch recht wechselhaft, daher ideal für meinen Trenchcoat, den ich schon einige Jahre habe. Er passt in der Übergangszeit einfach immer!

Und am Wochenende, wenn ich viel unterwegs bin, einkaufe und Besorgungen mache, trage ich auch gerne flachere Schuhe. Diese beigen aus Wildleder mit halbtransparenten Einsätzen sind etwas besonderes, da sie von Valentino sind. Ich kann mir normalerweise keine Designerkleidung leisten, aber ich habe sie geschenkt bekommen, sie stammen von einer Bekannten meiner Mutter, waren ungetragen und in hervorragender Qualität. Durch den kleinen Blockabsatz sind sie super bequem und außerdem derzeit topaktuell! Durch die neutrale Farbe passen sie außerdem zu unheimlich vielen Sachen!

Casual weekend look

Today's look is certainly nothing spectacular but a normal look I am wearing on a Saturday when I do not have any specific plans. Jeans are part of my wardrobe and from time to time I love wearing them. I have classic straight 5-pocket jeans and trendy flared jeans. When I go for skinnies like today, I make sure they are really stretchy and I pay attention to a high waist. I think they are more flattering for my body and also find the low-waist jeans rather uncomfortable.

Our spring weather is still quite inconsistent and I am wearing a lot of lighter coats like this trenchcoat which I already have for a couple of years. It is perfect for this transitional season.

Although I love a later start on the weekends, Saturday mornings are usually filled with grocery shopping and errands - time to rely on comfortable shoes! I cannot afford designer clothes but I received these beige suede shoes from a friend of my mother. They are from Valentino and came new and unworn! The mid heel is not only classy and very comfortable but also one of the major trends this season!
